Wills
Our Wills Unit can quickly, and relatively economically, help to
ensure that your estate passes exactly in accordance with your wishes.
Will drafting is complicated and can easily go wrong and should
not be left to amateurs. We can advise you of the most tax efficient
means, making use of exemptions, reliefs, allowances and, if appropriate,
family trusts. We can also advise you regarding other arrangements,
such as appointing trustees and executors, or guardians to care
for children.
Our Partners are willing to be appointed as executors in most cases.
Powers of Attorney
The Department is also frequently instructed in the preparation
of Lasting Powers of Attorney in a wide variety of situations,
particularly for older members of the family who want the comfort
of knowing that their financial affairs will be handled by someone
whom they trust in the event that they lose the mental or physical
capacity to do so themselves.
Our Wills Unit is spread across both of our offices. For more information
